Outerwear often combines multiple materials, finishes and construction methods in a single garment. Down fill, synthetic insulation, technical membranes, wool fabrics, trims, coatings and structured components can all react differently to cleaning.
At Re:Finery, every item is assessed individually before treatment. We check the care label, construction, materials, condition and any areas of staining or wear, then choose the most appropriate specialist cleaning process.
We clean a wide range of down and insulated outerwear, from lightweight puffers and gilets to heavy parkas and full-length coats.
Correct cleaning and drying are especially important with down-filled garments. Poor processing can leave filling clumped, uneven or slow to recover. Our process is designed to clean the outer fabric while carefully managing the insulation and garment construction.
We regularly care for premium insulated jackets and parkas from brands including Canada Goose, Moose Knuckles, Moncler and other luxury outerwear labels.
Brand alone does not determine the treatment. We assess each garment by its actual care instructions, materials, trims, construction and condition before cleaning begins.
Garments with unusual trims, specialist finishes or construction may require additional assessment. If we need your approval before proceeding, we will contact you first.
Technical jackets can include waterproof or breathable membranes, bonded seams, specialist coatings and performance finishes.
We follow the individual care requirements of the garment and avoid treating all technical outerwear the same way. The safest process depends on the fabric, membrane, finish and manufacturer’s care instructions.
Wool and luxury outerwear can require careful handling to protect shape, texture, colour and finish.
We assess the garment before treatment and use the most appropriate specialist process for its fabric and construction, including structured coats, wool blends and premium outerwear.

Professional cleaning can significantly improve the appearance and freshness of outerwear, but some staining, wear, colour loss or pre-existing damage may be permanent.
Our priority is always to achieve the best result we reasonably can while protecting the garment and its construction.

Choose your outerwear type and length, then select your sending method. Once your item arrives at Re:Finery, we inspect its care label, construction, materials and condition before treatment begins. If anything needs your approval, we contact you first. After cleaning and quality control, your item is carefully packed and returned by tracked delivery.
Most outerwear is returned within around 7–10 working days from receipt. Some specialist materials, heavy down-filled garments or items requiring additional assessment may take longer.
You can use the included Re:Finery DPD Pickup-shop service, self-send and save £5, or choose an available collection option at checkout.
We inspect every item before treatment. If we find unusual trims, construction, staining, damage or anything that could affect the safest cleaning approach, we will contact you before proceeding.
Our aim is to clean and refresh your outerwear as thoroughly and safely as possible while protecting its materials, construction and finish. Some permanent staining, wear, colour loss or pre-existing damage may not be fully removable.
