How it works
01 Book online
Choose the band matching your dress’s original purchase price. This sets the service price and the maximum DPD Extended Liability that may be selected for transport, subject to DPD’s applicable terms, exclusions and evidence requirements and our Terms and Conditions.
02 Send it safely
We’ll send you a wedding-dress packing kit containing the appropriate transit box, acid-free tissue and step-by-step packing instructions. Once your dress is packed, we’ll arrange DPD collection from your address, with Extended Liability selected where applicable for your chosen value band. If your order contains two wedding dresses, follow the packing and collection instructions supplied for each dress.
03 Cleaned with care
Photographed, inspected and assessed by hand. If we have any questions, we’ll check in with you before we proceed.
04 Return
Returned using the delivery option selected at checkout, carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue or presented in your chosen preservation box.

NOT SURE? ASK A SPECIALIST
Unsure about a stain, fabric or delicate detail?
Send us a few clear photos of your wedding dress and tell us what you’re concerned about. We’ll take a look and give you initial guidance before you decide whether to book.
Photo assessments provide initial guidance only. We’ll inspect your dress in person before cleaning and contact you if anything needs your approval.
A dress for generations.
The way you store your wedding dress matters. Plastic covers can trap moisture, while ordinary cardboard and tissue may contain acids that gradually discolour delicate fabrics over time.
Our preservation boxes are made from museum-grade, acid-free board, with acid-free tissue placed carefully between each fold. Your gown is arranged to rest safely for years — ready for an anniversary, a future generation, or sneaking a peek for the memories!
Add preservation boxing to any wedding dress clean from £39.
Your dress tells a story
From marks around the hem to traces of champagne, makeup or fake tan, every wedding dress tells the story of the day it was worn. Some stains are immediately visible; others may only begin to show with time.
Before cleaning begins, we carefully inspect the fabric, lace, beading, sequins and delicate trims by hand. Where an area needs particular care or a decision from you, we will photograph it and contact you first.
Your dress is treated thoughtfully, honestly and always with your approval.

Another difficult dress. Another careful result.

Questions brides ask us
Sooner is better than later — some of the most damaging marks (champagne, perfume, perspiration) are invisible at first and slowly oxidise into yellow stains over months. But don’t let time put you off: dresses from years ago routinely come up beautifully, and we’ll always give you an honest assessment of what’s achievable.
Almost never. Aged yellowing and set-in marks are harder than fresh ones, but the transformation is often the most dramatic we do. We’ll inspect, photograph and tell you honestly what we expect to achieve before any work begins.
Select the band matching the gown’s original purchase price. This sets your service price and the maximum DPD Extended Liability that may be selected for transport, subject to DPD’s applicable terms, exclusions and evidence requirements. It does not guarantee a particular claim settlement. If the gown cost more than £5,000, contact us before ordering.
DPD collection and return are included, with DPD Extended Liability selected where applicable to match your chosen purchase-price band, up to £5,000 and subject to DPD’s terms, exclusions and evidence requirements. While your gown is checked in with Re:Finery, separate Goods in Trust protection applies subject to the policy’s terms and limits. These arrangements are also subject to our Terms and Conditions.
Every dress is assessed by hand before cleaning. Glued embellishments, fragile vintage lace and loose beadwork are exactly the things we check for — and if we find a risk, we contact you with photographs before proceeding. Nothing happens to your dress without your say-so.
If the dress is going back in a wardrobe for years — yes, honestly. Standard storage is what causes yellowing. If you’re planning to sell, lend or alter the dress soon, the acid-free tissue wrap included with every clean is enough.
Cleaning turnaround is normally 10–15 working days from receipt and acceptance for treatment to dispatch back to you. Courier transit time is additional. Wedding dresses are never rushed — if yours needs longer for a specialist treatment, we’ll tell you and agree it with you first.
Yes — add a veil (£15), wedding shoes (£40) or a bridesmaid dress (£50) to the same order so they can be handled together. Follow the packing instructions supplied with your order, as some items may need to be packed separately.
Wait for your Re:Finery packing kit to arrive. It includes the appropriate transit box, acid-free tissue and full packing instructions. Fold the dress loosely with tissue between the layers and avoid compressing it to force it into the box. We’ll then arrange DPD collection, with Extended Liability selected where applicable for your chosen value band. If your order contains two wedding dresses, follow the packing and collection instructions supplied for each dress.
It held the best day. Now hold onto it.
